Australian hip-hop artist Miss Kaninna made history in September 2025 as the first ever independent Aboriginal woman to be nominated for a debut single at the ARIA Music Awards, Australia's top music prize.

The Tasmanian singer is also nominated for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Release and Best Australian Live Act, alongside superstars Confidence Man and Troye Sivan. The 27 year old accompanied Aussie rockers Amyl and The Sniffers and Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap on their respective Australian tours in early 2025, and she'll cap off the year supporting Kneecap on their UK tour in November.
